What is Tui-na Massage?

Tui-na is not a regular massage. Tui-na is an ancient healing art. It is a powerful massage therapy working with acupressure points and energetic channels in the body (called meridians) that helps:

  • To significantly remove the tension and pain

  • To accelerate the healing process

  • To harmonise Yin & Yang in the body

  • To regenerate and nourish the body

Tui-na goes beyond the structure of bones and muscles. In translation it means "push and grasp”. Tui-na uses various pushing, grasping, pressure, different force and speed to realign the body. The aim of Tui-na is to create harmony in the body. Tui-na is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine with origins 2000 years ago and nowadays is an official method in Chinese hospital settings.

Tui-na is very variable. It is personalised to each client and it can be strong deep tissue massage or gentle soft massage, therefore it is suitable for all - adults, athletes, kids, teens, pregnant women or elderly.

…BEFORE
the massage

⚠️ CHECK FAQ WHEN TO AVOID MASSAGE!

…DURING
the massage

Communication is essential. I am happy to hear all your symptoms that bothers you, so I can see your pattern and look for the root of your issue. I will ask you some details about your general health (such as your sleep, digestion, stress) and your general lifestyle … so don't be surprised :) - it’s part of the treatment.

During the massage you will feel tense areas or sensitive points, but overall the massage should be always pleasant for you. If you don’t like some technique, feel free to tell me straight ahead.

…AFTER
the massage

Some clients feel energized, some feel tired/sleepy and both is OK.

Protect the massaged areas with warm clothes, stay away from cold/wind.

Don’t do heavy activities (gym, big clean up, gardening etc.) and take it easy for the day.

Drink plenty of water/tea that helps to regenerate the muscles. Avoid alcohol or other substances.

Massaged areas might be sensitive 1st day after the massage, because muscles are recovering. On the 2nd day the relief comes.

If for any reason the pain doesn't go away, please contact me.
